What's going on at FLOH Vodka? Here are some highlights!
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Last weekend’s HeART of the Cocktail was the talk of the town, bringing a wave of bold expression and culture to Cleveland’s Art District.
The event was a two-day art exhibit held at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
The show was a combination of international and Cleveland-bred artists displaying what happens when art and the brand collide.
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Floh Vodka founder and president Jacques D. Evans is collaborating with several artists and the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland for a two-day event that includes a cocktail party and exhibit, and an exhibit only the following day.
“HeArt of the Cocktail Art Experience” takes place Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 23 and 24, at MOCA, 11400 Euclid Ave. The cocktail party/exhibit, with a live DJ and curated menus, is Saturday from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The exhibit only Sunday is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Evans, whose company is based in a warehouse on Superior Avenue near downtown Cleveland, and sells high-end vodka distilled in Bend, Oregon, is himself an artist, with the creative moniker Steady FLOH. His works will be joined by photographer and RocNation Senior Vice President Lenny “Lenny S” Santiago. Santiago brings his images of celebrities in some of their most candid moments.
Jacques D. Evans, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cleveland, Ohio based company, FLOH Spirits, LLC., is hosting the HeART of the Cocktail Art Experienceat the Cleveland Museum of Contemporary Arton Saturday, February 23, 2019, through Sunday, February 24, 2019. The event is to raise funds for the Golden Opportunity Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) that provides resources and opportunities for entrepreneurs.
Also accompanying the HeART of the Cocktail Art Experience is celebrated photographer and RocNationSVP, Lenny “Lenny S” Santiago (@kodaklens) and the founder of Art Noire, Everette Taylor (@everette). For the first time ever, Santiago will showcase never seen before images of celebrities in some of their most candid moments. Taylor, an avid art collector and recently named one of the "100 Most Influential African-Americans" by The Root and Forbes30 Under 30, will be one of the guest speakers at the HeART’s Panel Discussion.
The Heights Schools Foundation and the CH-UH City School District inducted 10 new members into the Cleveland Heights High School Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame on May 4, in the high school’s newly renovated auditorium.
The 2018 inductees are Gail Rose Kane ‘56, Tracy Schermer ‘67, Lori Hermelin Bush ‘74, Tovah Klein ‘82, Milton "Chip" Morris ‘88, Sean Sullivan ‘88, Christopher Young ‘90, Jacques Evans ‘99, and brothers Jason Kelce ‘06, and Travis Kelce ‘08. Nine of the 10 inductees were present for the ceremony; Young sent his remarks via video from San Francisco.
The city of Cleveland is known for a number of great things: Winning sports teams, great food, and the home of Rock and Roll.
But Jacques Evans is putting Cleveland on the map in a way you might not expect, liquor distribution.
Evans has made a name for himself through his fast-rising product "FLOH Vodka".

Jacques Evans spoke in South Beach, Miami at the 2017 Association of Luxury Suite Designer Conference on the subject of naming rights and sponsorships between adult beverage companies and sport venues.
Grammy-nominated Platinum Recording Artist Fabolous, in an ongoing tradition, celebrated his birthday with another iconic birthday bash. This year’s 2017 theme was a Gotham City Masquerade Ball complete with jail cell caged prisoners and assorted Villains from the series that greeted guests upon entry including The Joker, Harley Quinn, Catwoman and more!
Attendees enjoyed cocktails from FLŌH Vodka. Jadakiss also hopped on the mic for a special performance as the night also served as a celebration for their recently released joint album Friday on Elm Street. At the end of the evening, Fabolous was honored with a toast and a multi-tiered cake of the Gotham City skyline. He was also presented with a Roc-A-Fella chain from his management team at Roc Nation.
